ESPN: Kevin Durant Receives the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award

NBA star Kevin Durant was recognized with the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award, an honor given annually to an athlete whose leadership "has created a positive impact on their community through sports."

Through his eponymous charity foundation, Durant strives to "enrich the lives of at-risk youth from low-income backgrounds through educational, athletic and social programs." The Warriors player has also committed $10 million to a program that helps disadvantaged students attend college, donated $1 million to tornado victims in Oklahoma in 2013, and built basketball courts throughout the world for low-income youth.
